  I had my third hernia repair at the VRMC, and I have to say unequivocally that the staff was superb. Every single person of the many who worked on me was both highly efficient and very compassionate--a rare combination. My only complaint, which goes to the surgeon's office and to my primary doctor as well, and not necessarily to the hospital staff, is that, while I was fully informed of what would happen during the procedure, I was not sufficiently forewarned of possible aftereffects, which proved to be shocking and debilitating.
  But I would definitely recommend the VRMC to anyone contemplating a minor procedure.
