  Worst experience I have EVER had with a salon. We were in town for a wedding. My daughter the bride, was promised make up and up do and maid of honor was promised make up and updo and bride was quoted $115 and $100 while maid of honor was quoted $85 and $100. For this price they were told they would also receive Mimisas and appetizers or smoothies and ice cream. They required $200 deposit at the time of booking the service. The maid of honor was not able to go so I, mother of bride, took her place. I did not get updo but wear my hair curly and wanted a curling tool to put some nice curls into my hairdo. There was no food or beverage of any kind offered. My make up took under 15 minutes. When all was said and done they chareged us $365 on top of my $200 deposit. $565 for 1 up do, 1 curly do, and 2 make ups. We paid it because we had a wedding to get to, but we called later to question price and lack of complimentary beverage and food. Valerie seemed quite embarrassed as she had made the arrangements, but owner Marie never returned our phone call. I guess she could live with the ridiculous rip off she did to us. I asked several salon owners of very upscale city salons in Ohio what their bridal service would have cost and I was quoted about $100-105 for service or approximately $220 plus tip with complimentary mimosas and pastry or finger sandwiches. Everyone was appalled by the charges I paid. Stay away from this shop as they really rip people off. Michelle was especially grumpy that day.

  My wedding this weekend was absolutely beautiful. I’m so grateful to Palm Island Resort and my makeup, photo, bakery and video vendors. I made one epic mistake. Shear sailing. I cannot express how incredibly disappointed I was with this entire experience. This was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had with anyone in the service industry. I’ve been in several weddings and had my hair professionally done many times and never in my life have I been so dissatisfied. They showed up an hour late and had the gall to treat me with attitude and disrespect talking about not having enough outlets or “work conditions” (in a 5 star resort) Um. Hi. Don’t offer an on-site option and charge me $100 for a travel fee, show up late with no time to set up with not so much as an extension cord and then give me attitude. Even when they showed up with 4 people an hour late, I felt we might be ok but apparently none of them actually know how to do hair because they just jumped from head to head poking around trying to figure out what they were doing. At the end of the day, they stressed all of us out and were completely rude. Didn’t hold up their end of the bargain at all. I thought the mandatory 20% on $85 was very overpriced. Now I understand, no one would ever tip this terrible group of “professionals “. After they left 5 out of the 6 of us had to redo our hair. I was late to my own first look because these people didn’t know what the heck they were doing. If I could give 0 stars I would. Brides, whatever you do...keep looking. Anyone else, find another salon. Seriously.
